- We renew our Costco membership every year. We live within a few blocks of one store, a few miles from another. Both also provide self-serve gasoline. We save enough on the gas we buy through them to pay for our annual membership. After that, anything we save is "gravy".

- After taxes she'll get to keep about $650K (nothing to sneeze at). Depending on the conditions of the lottery pay out she may get less if they insist on either paying via an anuity or giving her 1/2 of it in one lump sum.

- Yes......I worked hard and planned, then retired at 53. No vineyard, no yacht in the Bahamas. It was a little work to adjust to living on <2/3 of my pre-retirement income, but I'm just as happy on $40K a year as I was on $65K.

- Netflix just had a price increase 8 months ago......and now, depending on your plan you'll get hit with an increase somewhere between 25% and 60%.....OUCH!!!!

- This article hits close to home for me, recently found that the blood pressure meds I've been taking for YEARS is no longer available (not enough profit in older generic drugs you buy for $4 at Walmart). My doctor and I have been scrambling to find a replacement.
